One of the users on Dr. Patrick Dixon's message board posted the following information about a "beyond cloning" conference in Boston this September. It should prove interesting, but judging from the speakers list, it appears to be dominated by people like George Annas and Lori Andrews, who are extremely anti-cloning. As for the other speakers who I have not heard of, for instance Brent Blackwelder (President of Friends of the Earth) I think one can make an educated guess at his stance on genetic engineering and cloning... This leaves me wondering how much "debate" there is going to be at a conference were only one side of the issue is presented.
